Lighting Research Facility
The Lighting Research Facility at Chrysler Canada's Automotive Research and Development Centre (ARDC) is one of the largest of its kind in the world. The remote, 25,000 square foot facility is 80 ft wide, 320 ft long and 22 ft in height. The facility simulates a 300 ft - two lane roadway including roadside markings, overhead signs and reflectors.

An office and conference room area is also provided for the convenience of engineers conducting research in the facility.
Available Services
- Headlamp and foglamp aiming evaluations performed with vehicle or with fixture mounted lamps
- Fog simulation available from a light haze to very thick dense fog
- Benchmarking of competitors vehicles
- Digital photography available from various perspectives for example: in-vehicle and bird’s-eye view using state-of-the-art digital cameras
- Certified automotive technicians available for fixture mounting, adjustments etc.
