Hybrid Electric Vehicle Testing

Hybrid Electric Vehicles are the key to improving automotive fuel economy and are defining the future of the automobile. To lead the world in Hybrid Electric Vehicle development, Chrysler has built brand new test cells capable of testing this revolutionary technology.

Hybrid Electric Test Stand
Hybrid Electric Test Stand

Our facility is equipped with a multi-dynamometer test system capable of testing hybrid electric transmissions and axles. Transmission mapping can be performed using a dynamometer to simulate engine firing torque pulses.

  • 15000 rpm Input Dynamometer/Two 2500 rpm Output Dynamometers
  • Input and Output Torque Measurement
  • Simulate Vehicle Aero and Weight Characteristics
  • Engine Firing Torque Emulation (real engine emulation)
  • Full Vehicle CAN Emulation
  • AV900 DC Power Supply
