Test Facilities/Equipment
- Skid Traction Facility - Multiple wetted surfaces (basalt, porcelain, concrete, polished concrete) with traction levels from 0.15 to 0.8 up to 1,000 feet long. Transition surfaces, and split surfaces available for all requirements.
- Straightaway - High traction stopping distance surface - 1.6 mile concrete 2 lane – traction greater than 0.95
- Oval - 4.7 mile 6 lane asphalt
- Parking Grades - 20 and 30 % - concrete
- Center of gravity swing – wheelbase up to 160 inches
- Instrumentation for both brake and noise tests
- Anthony Best Dynamics brake robot
- Garage Facilities - 16 - 9,000 lb hoists, 3 - 16,000 lb hoists, 1 - 24,000 lb hoist

Double Ended Brake Dynamometers

Two double ended brake dynamometers with 100 hp motors, 1,600 rpm max speed, 45 mph max air flow, 453 slug•ft² on one dynamometer and 250 slug•ft² on the other dynamometer.

Environmental chamber able to be attached to 250 slug•ft² dynamometer for ¼ car environmental brake testing. Temperature range capabilities from -4° F to 120° F and relative humidity from 10% RH to 90% RH.
